Cynthia Hancox
Cynthia has been married for 22 years, is the mother of 5 children, and has home schooled for 16 years. That’s a lot of years – years of laughter and learning, and also of tears and struggles. Cynthia’s passion is to draw alongside wives and mothers who are struggling, and help them to find peace in their life, home & relationships. She is a home school support group leader, and author of several books, including Goodbye Chaos, Hello Peace! a step-by-step how-to manual for getting your life under control. Cynthia has experienced and overcome depression, marital difficulties, debt and multiple food intolerances and loves to help and encourage others!
Johanna Whittaker
Homeschooling mum to Nathan(12) and Grace (14). She discovered the creativity, fun and convenience of Lapbooking when undertaking unit study work with her children. They have been making lapbooks for about 7 years on subjects ranging from butterflies to India.
Cally Brown
Cally Brown homeschooled her four sons, now 30, 28, 24 and 21, for twenty-two and a half years. With the youngest now in his honours year of a Computer Science degree, Cally now puts her energies into growing food, and following her passions for bookbinding and beekeeping. Her closest friends are still the homeschool parents who shared the journey, and young adults, including her own sons, who grew up being homeschooled.
Gladys Billing
Gladys Billing is a homeschooling mother of Anna and David (17) and has taught worldviews to her children and others for about 3 years.
Erena Fussel
A former teacher and now homeschooling mother of two, Erena also runs a home based business. She uses an Eclectic approach to home education and is passionate about raising and maintaining high educational standards. In her ‘spare’ time, she enjoys listening to, writing and arranging music.|
Christine Cave
Christine chose to homeschool her 4 children after initially sending her oldest daughter to school.  She followed the Unschooled approach to education with a strong emphasis on character and values.
Nigel Taylor
Nigel is an enthusiastic homeschooling father, with a background in software development and IT management.
Margaret Evans
Margaret has spent 23 years home educating her six children. She recognizes that there is a distinct difference between home education and home schooling and has a preference for the former. This has enabled her to facilitate her children’s education on a very limited income. She is passionate about children learning without even realizing that they are being taught, rather, the family is just doing great educational things together in a family experiential way. She thinks it works as most of her children have gone on to further study as young adults and have done well
John Oehly
John Oehley (BSc; GradCertCareerDev; DipTchg; DipCompSt.)has had more than thirty years experience in teaching, senior academic management and pastoral care at leading secondary schools in New Zealand and overseas. His particular expertise is in providing career advice and guidance to secondary students as an academic mentor. In recent years, he has completed a graduate careers qualification through Auckland University of Technology (AUT). He is a licensed Smithell’s® Practitioner and a member of the Career Development Association of NZ
